what i did this weekend:

- I took a quick jaunt to visit doug, riv and the libbymeister. As my dad says, it was an "intensive," short but jam packed and purposeful. Mom and dad made me a wonderful dinner and libby was delicious as well.

- we went to a truly extravagant wedding in NJ complete with cigar bar and chocolate fountain. Jews really know how to throw down.

- I decided to bite the bullet and take the MFA prep class. eek.

- We went to see Away We Go, which was fantastic. I highly recommend it. Also, i've heard i look like Maya Rudolph (yes, i do know that we have different skin tones). True or false?

- I made chocolate flavored coffee and french toast for breakfast.

- M. fried a lot of chicken cutlets. They were delicious and really healthy.

- i read a great poem in The New Yorker.

- I almost had a heart attacking trying to stop M. from defending my honor when some dude on the street offered me a gyro.

- i talked to Mary, our 80-yr old downstairs neighbor about Uncle Nicky Shuffles, who "made things happen but didn't kill nobody."

- i stood at a distance to see the huge crowd in washington square park, enjoying the beautiful weather.
