Worth it.

I am hoarse and so very tired but it is so worth it. I had the most wonderful weekend in texas with my college roommates/best friends. I love that no matter where we are in our lives, we pick up right where we left off, laughing our asses off. We are different - B is a lawyer living in Nashville, K. fights off biting children while rehabilitating them in Boston and Leansay is on her way to being a doctor in San Antonio. I'm just so impressed with them and i really feel so lucky that we had this weekend together.

We did as expected - we talked, we laughed a lot (as i mentioned), we ate, we drank, we shopped and swooned over leansay's dogs. Here is a rundown:

Thursday night, we all got in late. We drank champagne, ate guacamole and fawned over leansay's beagle, Zoey Carmen.

We spent Friday exploring San Antonio, eating platefuls of real Texas bbq and shopping outside in the 85 degree weather.

Friday night, we drank margaritas and ate a delicious mexican dinner along the famous river walk. Two words: QUE SO.

Turns out, we like to eat, a lot. So much so, that we were all in a fair amount of pain and unlike our glory days, we could barely get down one beer. sad.

We drove past the alamo. Eh, i've seen better. remember the what?

Saturday morning we got on the road to Austin, where we were greeted by Leansay's sweet parents who continued to feed us.

After 7 years of hearing about Punky, Leansay's beloved pug, we finally got to meet the beautiful beast. She was everything Leansay spoke of and more. No, really more - she weighs 26 lbs. But she's a beaut.

We spent the day in Austin, popping in out of boutiques and just enjoying the city. We may have spent a significant amount of time in an authentic cowboy boot store and (Jeanette if you're reading this...stop) Leansay may have bought a really gorgeous pair.

Back at Leansay's, we spent a long time laughing at people on the internet.

We primped and went out for another delicious dinner then visited a series of bars.

Ok, i'm too tired to keep writing, really. more later if you're still reading this.
