but first

i will learn how to whistle. maybe. I've never been able to whistle but i've also never really tried except maybe once or twice as a kid. then, at work a few days ago, we started talking about whistling and very causally i said, "oh, i can't whistle." My cubicle buddies seemed shocked: "you caaaaaaaan't?" It occurred to me that i shouldn't say "i can't whistle" until i've actually given it a fair shot.

well, now i've tried. M. has been attempting to teach me and it's just a hot mess. i can't seem to make any noise that remotely sounds like a whistle. i sit around, pursing my lips like an idiot and blowing hot air out of my mouth. it's truly a sight.


I'm gonna keep at it until i get it down.
