doting.

The thing about M. is that he's really good at just about everything. I know i'm his wife, so i'm a bit bias but i really think he's a renaissance man. Only occasionally does it annoy me that he can sing, dance, play the piano (all while not being gay...), cook, fold laundry, balance my check book, finish the sunday crossword puzzle, recite Shakespeare, play tennis, write a play, tutor underprivileged kids, etc. Most of the time, I'm just incredibly grateful that this superhuman hangs out with me.
Yesterday, i learned another things he's really good at - iceskating. We joined a few friends in bryant park for a late sunday afternoon outing on the ice. I had not been iceskating since i was in 7th a grade and a group of my girlfriends went with dates to the local rink. Really. Well, once i got out on the ice yesterday, it pretty much came back to me. That is to say that i could stay on my feet, for the most part, and go round and round without too much complaint and at a very slow speed.
M. was patient, holding my hand, encouraging me and calming me down after i cursed at some teenagers for cutting me off. We went in a happy little circle, over and over again, having a good ole' time. After awhile, we decided it was time for hot chocolate, naturally. As M. carefully dropped me off at the rink's exit, he asked if he could take a few spins on his own. Of course.
So off he went, like a freakin icecapader, doing triple axles, fancy jumps and all that. ok, not triple axles but that boy sure can move on those tiny blades. What a guy for sticking with his wobbly wife for over an hour when he could have been giving oksana baiul a run for her money.

I've added it to the list.
