lesson learned.

Yesterday, on my way home, I offered a baggie full of baby carrots to a homeless lady. She looked at them, smiled, waved her hands at me and politely said: "no thank you."

I'm not saying that carrots are amazingly delicious or filling but they are a crunchy snack that distracts you from feeling hungry until you can get yourself some real food.

You were wrong, mom. Apparently beggars can be choosers.
