It is absolutely not okay how long it's been since my last post. Not cool. It has been a very full few weeks and I will surely post lots of stories soon but for now an overall update:
-I spent 10 glorious days in Japan. Some highlights include: SUSHI, the city of Kyoto, the natural hot spring baths (hot tubs) in Hakone, udon noodles, the streets of Harajuku, geishas, heated toilet seats (which goes against everything we Americans know to be right), Nishiki food market, Chinatown in Yokohama, German bakeries (true story) and a host of other things that I will add in due time. For low lights, please see me in person :)
- After getting back from Japan last Sunday, I left on a 7:15am flight on Wednesday, heading to Florida for a work conference. Oh yeah, I also had a cold. Despite my jetlag and stuffy head, it wasn't a bad FIRST business trip. It was actually pretty cool. I realized it was also the first time that I spent a night in a hotel alone. I'm growing up before your very eyes.
- I was in dire need of some family/Libby time so we headed to the burbs for the weekend. It turned into a bit of wedding planning madness with a dash of we're-trying-desperately-to-sell-our-house from my parents, which equalled a not so relaxing weekend. Disclaimer: it was nobody's fault, just circumstances.
- This week, I'm feeling much better overall - not disastrously tired or sick. We were thinking of going away this weekend but I think we need some time to just stay still.
