but I read a blog written by a girl in NY, who posts a picture of what she's wearing EVERYDAY and says where she got each item and gives a little history about it. I really like her clothes and just overall, I like the idea. It's creative and spunky and so I thought I'd try it, minus the photo because I'm at work (shh) with no digital camera.
Shirt: Pink Brooks Brothers button down.
When I left my 2nd to last job (oy), the VP of development gave me a gift card for one free non-iron blouse from BB (they were one of our sponsors). Normally, I wouldn't shop at this store because it's a bit pricey for me but the shirt was free and can I just say, it's by far the nicest looking button down I've ever owned.
Sweater: cranberry colored v-neck sweater from Banana Republic.
My mom wore this sweater a few times and then gave to me. I like her a lot. I like it a lot. It's lightweight and the color makes me feel happy.
Pants: dark blue Ralph Lauren jeans from a Marshall's in Austin, TX.
Sophomore year of college I traded with my roommate -- a pair of my jeans for a pair of hers. They've held up well, wonder if she can say the same about mine.
Belt: brown leather, very worn.
This belt was my dad's from college. Yes. Enough said.
Shoes: Brown suede Steve Madden boots.
I bought these with Becky on 86th street on my 23rd birthday. The heels are looking a little shabby but I still love them.
Socks: from Target - with dogs on them, of course!
Jewelery: engagement ring, CZ from a big jewish man in the diamond district. freshwater pearl necklace from paternal grandma, maybe for my bat mitzvah? pearl earrings, from Riv but I believe, originally my paternal grandma's. Other necklace, funky little thing I can't describe, a surprise from M. a few months ago.
That was kind of the lamest thing ever, huh?
