Vanessa Williams at Kickboxing Class

Sometimes when I feel like an idiot at work, I think of things that I'm actually good at. On even my worst days, I can rely on my ability to spot a celebrity in a crowd. I have an uncanny ability to spot most any public figure in most any environment. Nobody gets by me.

I have seen the likes of Britney Spears in a nail salon, Matt Lauer in a crosswalk, Mayor Bloomberg on the 6 train, and Friends' Ross's ex-wife's lesbian lover in a vietnamese restaurant. Though their level of fame varies and their public domain differs, I can sniff them out and point them out. I tell you, it's a sixth sense. My mom has it too, it's in my genetic coding...can't fight it even if I wanted to. It has chosen me.

I am undeniably very good at this and when in the company of friends or family, they are very appreciative of this honed skill. But unfortunately, I can't get a job doing this and therefore i don't currently reap the satisfaction of knowing that I'm really great at what I do.
