First Order of Business, in so many ways.

The toilet seat.

My betrothed is pretty near perfect. During one of the many sessions in which I confess to him all the emotional, spiritual and professional attributes I feel I need to improve on, I often feel daunted by the need to improve and work on so many things within myself. To make myself feel better, I think: What does HE have to work on? And I'm always stumped to think of anything (call it love or...trickery) that he truly sucks at. Though we all, as humans, have work to do to be better people, he has no very obvious, glaring problem areas (readers, you may choose to agree or disagree).

Well, last night at 2:30am, I thought of one: putting the goddamn toilet seat down. You picked it up, now but it back where you found it. This is what I thought in the middle of the night when my tush hit the cold ceramic toilet sans seat.

I know it might, at first, seem like a daunting task to get himself into the groove of putting the seat down but I don't really care. If he needs to, we can talk about it in depth and find out where he learned this behavior or perhaps he can get to a better place in a more private way by journaling.

Either way, I support him on this journey.
